Withdrawal of scheme - (1) If at any time before the Preliminary Scheme is forwarded by the Planning Officer to the Government, a representation is made to the Planning 56 Officer by the Authority and if the owners of the majority of the land extent in the Scheme area represent that the Scheme should be withdrawn, the Planning Officer shall, after inviting from all persons interested in the scheme objections to such representation, forward such representation together with the objections, if any, to the Government. (2) The Government after making such inquiry as it may deem fit, may, if it is of opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, by notification, direct that the scheme shall be withdrawn and upon such withdrawal no further proceedings shall be taken in regard to such scheme.
