Punishment of wrongful seizure or arrest - Any forest officer or police officer who vexatiously or frivolously seizes any property on pretence of seizing property liable to confiscation under this Act, or who vexatiously or frivolously arrests any persons, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both.
