Power to release on bond a person arrested - Any forest officer not below the rank of Forester, who or whose subordinate has arrested any person under the provisions of section 53, may release such person on his executing a bond to appear, if any when so required, before the magistrate or before the officer in charge of the nearest police station. 2[Provided that the arrested person shall not be released on his personal bond unless he produces two sureties to the satisfaction of the Forest Officer concerned.]
