Extraordinary powers of the Executive Officer - (1) The Executive Officer may, in case of emergency direct execution of any work or the doing of any act, which is not provided for in the budget for the Year and the immediate execution or the doing of which is in his opinion, necessary for the preservation of the properties of the Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanams or for the service or safety of the pilgrims resorting to the Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanams and may also direct that the expenses of executing such work or doing the act shall be paid, from the fund of the Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanams. The Executive Officer shall forthwith report to the 1[Committee] the action taken under this section and the reasons therefor.
