The writ petitioners are the appellants. They filed a writ of Mandamus seeking direction against the respondents 3 to 6 to permit the appellants to report for duty as Teacher, Head Cook and Office Assistant in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Residential Schools at Pukkiravari, Kallakurichi District. 3. Admittedly, the school is a private school. Appellants are appointed as management staff. Their appointments are not approved by the Education Department. Therefore, writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is not maintainable. The appellants have to approach the competent forum for redressal of their grievance in the manner known to law. Granting liberty to the appellants to approach the competent forum, this writ appeal stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (S.M.S.,J.)
