Indu & Another versus Naveen Kumar Cr.MP (M) No.2086 of 2025 31.03.2026 Present: Mr. Surinder Kumar Saklani, Advocate, for the applicants-petitioners. Mr. Shakti Bhardwaj, Advocate, for the respondent. Cr.MP (M) No.2086 of 2025 This application has been filed for condonation of 43 days in filing the revision petition. Learned counsel for the applicants, reiterating the grounds mentioned in the application, has submitted that there was sufficient cause which prevented the applicants from filing the petition within prescribed period of limitation. Learned counsel for respondent has vehemently opposed the prayer for condonation of delay on the ground that day-to-day delay, as required under law, has not been explained. It is further submitted that it is a well-settled principle that the period of limitation starts to run from the date of order and that a misunderstanding of law does not constitute a sufficient cause. Taking into consideration the pleadings of the parties as well as submissions made by learned counsel for parties, we are of the considered opinion that the delay of 43 days in filing the revision petition deserves to be condoned. Accordingly, the application is allowed and the delay in filing the revision petition is condoned. The application stands disposed of. Criminal Revision Petition No.______of 2026 [Cr.Rev(FC) ST No.7858/25] Be registered. Record be requisitioned. List for consideration on 30.06.2026.
