Petitioners, through the medium of this petition, claiming that their land measuring 3 kanals and 4 sirsai, comprising different khasra numbers as detailed in paragraph 9 of the petition, was utilized by the respondents for construction of a Road from Limber to Budrali, upto Km 6 under PMGSY Division Baramulla. It is stated that the land was acquired, however the petitioners had not been paid compensation for the said land as per the agreed rate settled by the Private Negotiation Committee @ Rs. 2.00 lacs per kanal. Hence, this petition. 2. The respondents have admitted that the petitioners’ land was used for this project at the agreed rate, and that the compensation is payable to the petitioners. As per the affidavit filed by the Executive Engineer, PMGSY, Division Uri, it has been stated that an amount of Rs. 6.50 lacs due to the petitioners has been released by the Administrative Department and placed at the disposal of the Collector (SDM), Uri for disbursement to the petitioner. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have not received the said amount so far, though the same is stated to have been placed at the disposal of the Collector on 10.04.2026. 4. Since the amount has already been deposited by the respondents with the Collectorate for further disbursement to the petitioners, no further adjudication is required in the present petition, and the grievance of the petitioners stands substantially redressed. 5. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Collector to make payment of the compensation amount to the petitioners as per their entitlement within a period of two weeks from the date a copy of this order is served upon him. 6. Disposed of, along with application(s), in the above terms. CCP(S) 269/2024 7.
