UNNI KRISHNAN NAIR ORDER Date : 22.06.2026 Heard Mr. N Z Choudhury, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner. Also heard Ms. P Das, Learned Standing Counsel, Department of Secondary Education, Assam. The applicant, who is the Writ Petitioner in the connected Writ Petition, being WP(C) No. 2692/2025, has instituted the present Interlocutory Application, praying for permission to withdraw the said Writ Petition. In the Interlocutory Application, the Applicant has contended that it has been informed to him that the Departmental authorities are presently reviewing the Petitioner’s order of suspension, as well as, the institution of a departmental proceeding against him and he is under the belief that there would be some favourable order, passed in Page No.# 3/3 his favour, in the matter. Accordingly, in view of the development taking place, the Petitioner prays for withdrawal of the connected Writ Petition. Prayer is not objected to by Mr. B Bhattacharyya, Learned Counsel appearing for opposite party No. 5. In view of the above, the Petitioner is permitted to withdraw the connected Writ Petition being WP(C) No. 2692/2025, with liberty to re-file the same, if the occasion so demands.
