Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned DSGI along with learned Additional Government Advocate for the State-Opposite Parties. Perused the Writ Petition as well as the documents annexed thereto. 3. The present Writ Petition has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer : “It is therefore prayed that your lordship would be graciously be pleased to pass an order directing the 1 appellate authority for the disposal of the appeal filed on dated 25.03.2025 as in ANNEXURE-2 under rule 23 of the Orissa civil Service Classification control & appeal Rule 1962 and Article 479 of CSR, rule 7 of OCS & CCA, Rule 1992 within a stipulated period. Page 2 of 3. Issue writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions by this Hon'ble Court" as deems just, fit, equitable and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case” 4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the 1st appeal under Annexure-2, which is stated to be pending before the Opposite Party No.1. He further contended by learned counsel for the Petitioner that such appeal has not been disposed of now. In such view of the matter, it was submitted that the Opposite Party No.1 be directed to dispose of the 1st appeal in accordance with the applicable rules within a stipulated period of time. 5. Learned Additional Government Advocate for the State- Opposite Parties on the other submitted that in the event this Court directs the Opposite Party No.1 to dispose of the 1st appeal, if the same is still pending, within a stipulated period of time in accordance with applicable rules, then he will have no objection to the same. 6. Considering the submission made by learned counsels appearing for the respective parties as well as on a careful examination of the background facts of the present case as well as keeping in view the limited nature of the prayer, this Court deems it proper to dispose of the writ application at the stage of admission by directing the Opposite Party No.1 to made every endeavour to dispose of the 1st appeal filed by the Petitioner under Annexure-2, if the same is still pending, strictly in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of communication of a certified copy of this order by the Petitioner. 7.
