The learned Counsel for the applicant has submitted that there was a Page No.# 4/5 mistake in arraying of respondent Nos.5 and 6 in the connected W.P.(C) No.2869/2026 and the concerned authorities ought to have been the District Commissioner, Barpeta and the Superintendent of Police, (B), Barpeta. However, due to inadvertence, the said authorities were erroneously arrayed as the District Commissioner, Nagaon and the Superintendent of Police (B), Nagaon. 3. Accordingly, the applicant has prayed for correction of the cause title of W.P. (C) No. 2869/2026. 4. Having heard the learned CGC and the learned State Counsel for the respondents, the prayer is allowed. The applicant is permitted to amend respondent Nos.5 and 6 in the cause title of the writ petition as referred above. 5. The applicant shall file the amended cause title of W.P.(C) No. 2869/2026 within two days by handing over to AO(J), F.T. Section, for incorporation in the writ petition and for correction of the CIS data. 6. Subject to the amendment of the cause title within time as indicated above, the Court is inclined to extend the time for the applicant to appear before the Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta by a period of further 10 days from the date of this order and in the event the petitioner complies with the directions contained in the order dated 03.06.2026, on production of a certified copy of this order, the Superintendent of Police(B), Barpeta shall act in terms of the order dated 03.06.2026 passed in WP(C) No. 2869/2026. 7. Pursuant to the amendment of the cause title, the authority including the respondent no.6, which is referred to as Superintendent of Police(B), Bajali in paragraph no.10 of the order dated 03.06.2026 passed in W.P.(C) No. 2869/2026 shall be read as Superintendent of Police (B), Barpeta. 8. This order shall be read together with order dated 03.06.2026, passed in Page No.# 5/5 W.P.(C) No. 2869/2026. 9. The Interlocutory Application stands allowed on terms as indicated above.
