HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU
SWP No.2051/2016
Yog Raj and another …..Petitioner/Appellant(s)
Through: None. Vs
State of J&K and others
.…. Respondent(s)
Through: Ms. Jagmeet Kour, Assisting Counsel to Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG
Coram: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE
ORDER 30.07.2026
1. With the efflux of time, the relief sought in the present petition has been rendered infructuous and is no longer capable of being granted in view of the
judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in case titled “Union Territory of J&K vs. Saba Wani.” This appears to be the reason why none has appeared on behalf of the petitioners. Be that as it may, the present petition has remained pending before this Court for more than nine years, and during the intervening period the petitioners have made no effort whatsoever to have the matter listed for
consideration.
2. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution along with all connection application(s).
3. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
