Sharma learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. S. Baruah, learned CGC for the Respondents. 2. The petitioner before this Court had submitted his candidature in response to the advertisement dated 05.09.2024, issued by the Staff Selection Committee (SSC) for filling up the posts of Constable (GD) in CAPF and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in NCB by way of examination. The petitioner applied for and was duly selected. He submitted all relevant documents and his name appeared in the select list. However, he was intimated by the CRPF Authorities that the EWS Certificate which was submitted by the petitioner was for the financial year 2025-26, whereas a certificate for the financial year 2024-2025 was required. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted another EWS certificate from the authorities concerned for the financial year 2024-25, which however was not accepted on the ground that the first certificate which was not cancelled and according to the petitioner, the CRPF authorities insisted that the first certificate submitted by the petitioner should be cancelled and a subsequent certificate issued must contain the same number and date. Under such circumstances, petitioner re-submitted a fresh certificate issued by the Circle Officer, Rangia bearing the same certificate number and date. However, no further information was forthcoming and therefore the petitioner has approached this Court. Page No.# 3/4 3. By order dated 08.04.2026, the learned counsel for the respondents including the State Counsel and the counsel appearing for the Union was permitted opportunity to complete their instructions and one post for Constable (GD) in CRPF was kept vacant. 4. Today, when the matter is called up, the learned State Counsel has placed before the Court a communication no. RC-34/2020/501 dated 21.05.2026 issued by the Circle Officer, Rangia Revenue Circle, wherein the Circle Officer has given a report on the basis of the Lot Mandal Report that the particulars with regard to the writ petitioner regarding his personal details and places of residence etc. are found to be correct. A copy of the said communication has been marked to the Deputy Commandant (Admin) for DIGP GC CRPF, Guwahati. The report of the Lot Mandal is also enclosed which reflects that the petitioner belongs to Economically Weaker Section and accordingly the concerned certificate dated 11.07.2025 for the financial year 2024-25 was issued by the Office of the Circle Officer, Rangia. 5. The learned counsel for the respondents fairly submits that in view of the communication received from the Office of the Circle Officer, Rangia Revenue Circle, the writ petitioner is to be entitled to be appointed in the post of Constable (GD), which otherwise have been kept vacant by interim orders passed by the Court. 6. Under such circumstances, this writ petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Inspector General, CRPF, Guwahati- 9th Mile, Kamrup(M), Assam to take all necessary steps to issue the necessary order appointing the petitioner in the post of Constable (GD) by considering his EWS Certificate submitted by the petitioner, which was issued from the Office of the Circle Officer, Rangia Revenue Circle. Page No.# 4/4 7. Let this exercise be carried out as expeditiously as possible within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copies of this order. 8.
