By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to provide adequate security to the petitioner and also to direct the respondent nos. 4 to 7 not to interfere in the life and liberty of the petitioner, in any way. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to decide the representation dated 03.07.2026 and provide adequate protection to the petitioner.” 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the matter, investigation has been completed and chargesheet has been filed before the concerned court and cognizance has also been taken in the said chargesheet. It is further submitted that trial would commence shortly in the matter. On this ground, it is submitted that petitioner, being the main victim herself to the FIR, pursuant to which, chargesheet has been filed and keeping in view the constant threat extended by the private respondents to her, she be provided security of her life and property under the Uttarakhand Witness Protection Scheme, 2025. 6. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 7. Considering the constant threat extended by the private respondents to the petitioner and also considering the fact that cognizance has been taken in the matter and the trial would commence soon, this Court directs that if the petitioner moves an appropriate application under the prescribed performa of Uttarakhand Witness Protection Scheme, 2025 to the competent authority, the application of the petitioner shall be considered and decided as per the clause 5 of Uttarakhand Witness Protection Scheme, 2025. 8.
