This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. 2. The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to the inaction on the part of the Director (R&R) & Ex-Officio Special Secretary to Government in the Department of Water Resources in sanctioning the compensation amount in terms of the judgment dated 5th August, 2025, passed by learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Nuapada in LAR No.130 of 2010, in a reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for brevity, ‘the Act’). 3. This Court, taking into consideration the grievance of the Petitioner, vide order dated 05.03.2026, directed learned State Counsel to take instruction in the matter. 4. Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel places on record the written instruction of the Director (R&R) & Ex-Officio Special Secretary to Government in the Water Resources Department, vide Letter No.10317/WR, dated 07.04.2026, wherein he prayed for three months’ time for sanction and for full compliance of the judgment in the reference. 5. The copy of the written instruction submitted by Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Standing Counsel, is taken on record. 6. In view of such instructions, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the Director (R&R) & Ex- Officio Special Secretary to Government in the Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha shall do well to sanction the compensation amount in terms of judgment dated 5th August, 2025 passed by learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Nuapada in LAR No.130 of 2010, as expeditiously as possible, preferably by end of July, 2026 and the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Lower Indra Irrigation Project, khariar shall disburse the said amount by end of September, 2026, to the Petitioner after verifying the entitlement and under due acknowledgement. 7.
