Mr. Narendra Bali, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Ramesh Joshi, Brief Holder for the State. Mr. Sandeep Kothari, Advocate for respondent Nos. 2 and 3. 2. Petitioner retired from the post of second class clerk from Nagar Nigam, Haridwar on 30.04.2025. Since his retiral dues including pension have not been released so far, therefore he has approached this Court seeking following reliefs: “I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent authorities to determine and release the petitioner's admissible pension, gratuity and all other outstanding retiral/service dues within a time-bound period, as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court; II. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay reasonable interest on the delayed payment of the petitioner's pension, gratuity and other admissible retiral dues from the date the said amounts became due and payable till the date of actual payment.” UKHC010140432026 2026:UHC:7608 3. Learned counsel for Nagar Nigam/respondent Nos. 2 and 3 was directed to get instructions. He, however, submits that instructions could not be received so far. 4. Having regard to the fact that more than a year has gone by since petitioner’s retirement, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Municipal Commissioner to release retiral dues, including pension of the petitioner, positively within two months. However, the advance, if any, taken by petitioner, may be adjusted from his retiral dues. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 21.08.2026 Mahinder
