The father of the petitioner by name A. Lakshmi Narasaiah worked as Scavenger in the 4th respondent college and while he was working in the said college, he died on 14.10.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application to the 4th respondent seeking suitable employment which was forwarded to the 3rd respondent. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondent Nos.3 and 4 in providing employment to the petitioner under compassionate grounds in terms of G.O.Ms.No.113, Education (SE.PS.I) department, dated 06.10.2009 and memo bearing No.18836/Se.PS/A1/2012, dated 04.01.2017, the present writ petition is filed. 4 VS,J W.P.No.36293 of 2018 3. Heard Sri. G. Vamsi Krishna, learned counsel representing Sri. Narra Srinivasa Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Higher Education. 4. Perused the entire material available on record. Today when the writ petition came up for hearing, learned Government Pleader has furnished a copy of instructions of the Director of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh bearing Rc.No.Admn.II/WP.No.36293 of 2018/2026, dated 17.08.2026 wherein it is stated that as per G.O.Ms.No.11, School Education (PS) department, dated 02.02.2018, compassionate appointment should be provided only if the deceased was working in an aided junior college. In the case on hand, as SBSM Junior college, Khajipeta was closed, the petitioner’s father was redeployed to the 4th respondent college in the year 2007. The 4th respondent college became an unaided college in terms of the policy in G.O.Ms.No.51, SE(IE), dated 17.08.2021. It is further stated that the entire matter has been submitted to the Government vide letter dated 02.02.2025; pursuant to which, the Government sought a brief note for placing the same before Standing committee for approval; accordingly, relevant documents were also submitted to the Government vide letter dated 08.04.2026 and that the same is pending for consideration. 5 VS,J W.P.No.36293 of 2018 5. Relying on the said instructions, learned Government Pleader sought for a direction to the Government to pass appropriate orders with regard to the issue on hand. 6. In view of the fact that relevant documents were submitted to the Government vide letter dated 08.04.2026 and as the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment is pending consideration before the Government, instead of keeping the writ petition pending, this Court feels it appropriate to dispose of the same by directing the 1st respondent to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, keeping in view the documents submitted vide letter bearing Rc.No.EHE05-14021/45/2020-ADMIN II-IE, dated 08.04.2026, in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, with the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
