1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:

2. Petitioner appearing in person submits that he is working on the post of Lecturer (Hindi). He has initially submitted application for grant of leave before the Principal of the School for period from 22.01.2025 till 03.02.2025 to perform last rituals of his uncle. Petitioner thereafter had to join the services/place of posting on 04.02.2025. However, due to his ill-health he could not able to join and has submitted application as also certificate in the prescribed format to Principal through registered post/speed post. Petitioner thereafter had submitted all relevant documents including the medical certificate and fitness certificate by hand to Principal, but, till date, application submitted by petitioner for grant of medical leave is not considered and decided and petitioner is being not paid salary of the month February, March and April 2025.

Learned counsel for the State submits that as the application submitted by petitioner before the authority is still pending consideration according to submission of petitioner, it will be considered in accordance with law if still pending.

4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and also perused the documents enclosed along with writ petition.

Grievance of the petitioner is that he suffered medical ailment and could not able to join services in time for which he has already submitted application for grant of medical leave in prescribed format along with requisite certificate in prescribed form which is stated to be not considered. It is for the authority to consider and take decision on the application submitted by any of the employee considering the reason assigned in the application, in an objective manner. In above
facts of case, I am inclined to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondents No.3 & 4 to take all necessary steps for deciding the medical leave application submitted by petitioner and to pass the order in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. If petitioner’s application for grant of leave is allowed then further steps be also taken thereafter, expeditiously, for disbursement of dues for which petitioner is entitled for.
7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, writ petition stands
