HEMALEKHA ORAL ORDER The petitioner has approached this Court seeking to quash the notice dated 16.03.2026 issued by respondent No.3 and to restore electricity supply to the petition schedule premises. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the issue involved in the present matter is squarely covered by the decision of this Court in the case of Sri Suresh .R Vs. State of Karnataka and others1 (Suresh .R), wherein in similar circumstances, this Court permitted the petitioners therein to file their objections to the 1 W.P. No.8047/2026 & con. Matters D.D. 11.03.2023 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:22287 WP No. 10661 of 2026 impugned notice and directed the respondents to consider the same in accordance with law. 3. It is further submitted that the petitioner herein, being similarly placed, is therefore entitled for the same relief. 4. Having regard to the submissions made and in view of the fact that the petitioner is similarly placed to that of the petitioners in the case of Suresh .R, this Court is of the opinion that the present petition can be disposed of in similar terms. Accordingly, this Court pass the following: ORDER i. The writ petition stands disposed of. ii. The petitioner is at liberty to file objections to the impugned notice dated 16.03.2026 issued by respondent No.3 within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:22287 WP No. 10661 of 2026 iii. The impugned notice shall be treated as a show- cause notice and the competent authority shall consider the objections filed by the petitioner along with the material placed on record and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. iv. Till consideration of the objections and passing of appropriate orders, the respondents shall not take any coercive steps, including disconnection of electricity supply to the petitioner’s schedule premises. v.
