JUDGMENT : (per Mr. Manoj Kumar Gupta C. J.)

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The present intra-court appeal is directed against the
order of learned Single Judge dated 12.12.2024 in WPSS No.2282 of 2024 whereby, after hearing the parties at length, the following interim directions were issued:
“20. After hearing the arguments of learned counsel for the petitioner and respondents and further taking into
consideration that 3519 candidates are still available, who qualified Part-1 examination and 95 vacancies are still available i.e. 17 vacancies of Junior Assistant, 78 vacancies of Stenographer, therefore, the respondents are directed to proceed with Part-2 examination and permit all remaining candidates, who qualified Part-1 examination and declare the result and this entire exercise be concluded positively, within two months from today.”

By order dated 23.05.2025 passed in the instant appeal, the operation of the order of the Writ

Court was stayed. It was further provided that the pendency of the appeal would not come in the way of the respondents-petitioners in participating in the further rounds of recruitment.

Thereafter, a clarification application bearing no. IA/2/2026 was filed on behalf of respondent no.5 and the said application was
disposed of by
order dated 08.01.2026 clarifying that the interim order dated 23.05.2025 would not come in the way of the competent authority in holding selection for the posts mentioned in paragraph no.4 of the clarification application.

A further direction was issued that the selection process shall be concluded within six months.

Learned counsel for the appellant states that, in view of the aforesaid clarification made by the Court, nothing survives in the instant appeal.

In view of the above, the appeal is dismissed as having become infructuous.

Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
