Zhimomi, learned counsel appearing for the sole respondent. 2. By the Order dated 08.05.2025 in WP(C)/143/2024, this Court had directed the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for Page No.# 2/2 appointment on compassionate ground against one of the 24 vacancies as indicated in the statement produced by the learned Government Advocate during the course of hearing. 3. Today when the matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the respondent has produced an undertaking dated 02.04.2026 signed by Mr. Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary, Home Department stating that the petitioner is now at Serial No. 5 in the Department’s Waiting List of compassionate appointment and will be appointed as and when his turn arises. 4. This Court finds that there has been substantial compliance with the direction of this Court in WP(C)/143/2024 and accordingly, the matter is closed and disposed of. 5.
