This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, claiming the following direction: “to issue a Writ order or direction especially one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the Letter Lr No AE/Opn/East/Kadapa/FNo 34/D No 679/16 dated 382016 issued by the 4th respondent treating the representation of the petitioner as application for new service connection contrary to the benefit conferred by the Government by providing the 7 hours free current as illegal arbitrary and contrary to law and also contrary to the endorsement Dt 30072015 given by the 2nd respondent and consequently set aside the letter dated 23112015 and direct the respondents to implement the directions given by the 2nd respondent treating the service connection of the petitioner herein as old service connection by conferring the benefits of 7 hours free supply of power conferred by the Government and other benefits and pass such other order or orders as the Honble Court deems fit and proper” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, pursuant to the interim direction dated 09.08.2016, the respondents are directed to restore the power supply of the petitioner and accordingly, the power supply was restored. 4. In view of the aforesaid submission, the grievance of the petitioner had already been redressed and the power supply of the petitioner has been restored. Therefore, no cause survives for further adjudication in the present writ petition. 5. Accordingly, writ petition is closed. No costs. 6.
