The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the Respondent No. 3 to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector and initiate proceeding as per seniority/fit list dated 12.08.2024, within a stipulated period.” 2 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is working on the post of Head Constable and was eligible for promotion along with other 56 Head Constables. Petitioner was considered for promotion, however, he could not be promoted, but some other Head Constables were promoted as Assistant Sub-Inspector. He contended before the order of promotion could be issued in favour of the petitioner, SoP formulated by the State Government for promotion was canceled pursuant to the order passed by High Court and now, the State Government is framing new SoP. 3. He also contended that the petitioner was informed that petitioner will be considered for promotion, after framing of new SoP. Petitioner has submitted representations dated 17.01.2025 and 14.07.2025 before the Respondents No. 3 which is pending consideration and therefore, direction be issued to the Respondent No. 3 to consider and take decision on the representations dated 17.01.2025 and 14.07.2025 at the earliest within specified time frame. 4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the Respondents/State would submit that as petitioner is not pressing this writ petition on merits and is only seeking a direction to the Respondent No. 3 to consider and take decision on the representations, he is having no objection to the limited prayer. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents placed on record. 6. On due consideration of the submissions of counsel for the respective parties, facts and circumstances of the case, nature of grievance raised by the petitioner, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 3 to consider and take decision on the representations dated 17.01.2025 and 14.07.2025 in accordance with law, expeditiously, 3 preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of the order. 7.
