Instant Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“to issue a Writ of Mandamus challenging action of the Respondents in failing to register a First Information Report pursuant to the written complaint dated 13.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner, despite the said complaint clearly disclosing the commission of cognizable offences including offences punishable under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 thereby violating my fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 15, 17 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondent authorities to register the First Information Report pursuant to the written complaint dated 13.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner and to pass”. 2. Conspectus of facts in the present Writ Petition is that, despite the petitioner’s complaint to the police personnel, the respondent police are not acting upon the same by registering an FIR, thereby lodging criminal proceedings

At that juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed the factum of registration of FIR. 5. Recording the submission made by learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs.
