Petitioner’s father was a regular employee of respondent-Irrigation Department who expired on 21.04.2026. The mother of petitioner had already expired before the death of petitioner’s father. Since the petitioner’s father was a regular employee, petitioner moved an application 19.05.2026 seeking compassionate appointment (Annexure No.3 to the writ petition. 5. Learned Counsel for petitioner contends that the said application is pending for last 2½ months, and therefore, he seeks a direction to be issued to respondent no.2 to consider and decide the said application and to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner. Respondent no.2 is directed to take a decision upon the application dated 19.05.2026 (Annexure No.3) moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law and the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment of Dependants Of Government Servants Dying In Harness Rules, 1974, within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 7.
