Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved as the disciplinary proceeding initiated against him is being unnecessarily delayed for which he is unable to avail the benefits of promotion. 3. It appears that after conducting the disciplinary proceeding, a punishment was proposed and the petitioner was directed to file response to the proposed punishment, which the petitioner did. 4. The final order in the disciplinary proceeding has, however, not been passed. 5. Learned advocate representing the State respondents is yet to receive instruction in the matter. 6. As it appears that the petitioner has already replied to the second show-cause notice, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Secretary, Public Works Department to pass the Page 2 final order in the disciplinary proceeding that is pending against him in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. 7. Be it recorded that the petitioner is not pressing the prayer ‘B’ of the instant writ petition. 8. The writ petition stands disposed of. 9.
