Prayer is made in this writ petition that complaint of the petitioner dated 11th February, 2026 needs to be registered and a criminal prosecution be initiated. 3. State respondents and private respondents are represented by learned advocates. 4. It is submitted on behalf of the private respondents that allegations made by the petitioner by lodging complaint dated 11th February, 2026, are untrue. It is also submitted that respondent no.7 has died. 5. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 21st April, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Kotwali Police Station, Paschim Medinipur and same is taken on record. Copies of the said communication dated 21st April, 2026 are made [2] over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and the private respondents. 6. It is disclosed in the aforesaid communication dated 21st April, 2026 that on receipt of the complaint of the petitioner FIR was registered and a criminal prosecution being All-Women P.S. Case No.32 of 2026 dated 16th April, 2026 has been initiated under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 7. In view of aforesaid steps taken by the concerned police authorities, grievance of the petitioner appears to have been redressed and no further order need to be passed on this writ petition save and except directing the concerned police authority to expedite the investigation and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 8. Writ petition stands disposed of. 9. Department is directed to expunge respondent no.7 from the array of the respondents by ten (10) days from date. 10.
