Petitioners are aggrieved by advertisement dated 11.03.2024, issued by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, whereby vacancies on the post of Principal in Government Inter College were notified. 2. In some of the writ petitions, petitioners have also challenged certain provisions of applicable recruitment rules. In some of the writ petitions, this Court had permitted the petitioners to participate in the selection process; however, their participation was to remain subject to outcome of the writ petition. 3. Mr. Ashish Joshi, learned counsel appearing for Uttarakhand Public Service Commission on instructions submits that State Government decided to recall the requisition, pursuant to which the vacancies on the post of Principal were advertised and on the request of the State Government, selection process has been scrapped. He submits that the reliefs sought in the writ petitions do not survive upon cancellation of the process of selection. 4. In view of the statement made by Mr. Ashish Joshi, learned counsel appearing for UKPSC, the writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous; however, 2 2026:UHC:1668-DB petitioners shall be at liberty to challenge relevant provisions of recruitment rules at an appropriate stage. 5.
