According to petitioners, they are in unauthorised occupation over Government land which is recorded as Category-IV in the revenue records. Petitioners have sought a direction to the Competent Authority to take decision on their application for regularisation of their possession over such Government Land. 4. The period for which petitioners are in unauthorised occupation over such land, however, is not indicated in the writ petition. Reliance is placed upon Government Order dated 15.07.2016, which permits regularisation of possession over Category-IV land. 5. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that petitioners are not eligible for benefit of Government Policy, as they do not meet the eligibility conditions mentioned in the Government Order. Be that as it may, since petitioners have applied for regularisation and reportedly they have also deposited certain amount as per policy with the authorities, therefore, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Competent Authority to examine petitioner’s claim for regularisation and pass appropriate order, as per law, one way or the other, within six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
