The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE TARLADA RAJASEKHAR RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.671 of 2026 ORDER: The authority under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013) directed the Land Acquisition Department to pay the difference amount of Rs.33,50,858/- with interest @ 9% from the date of taking possession, i.e., from 12.09.2016 for one year and thereafter at 15% per annum till payment or deposit of the same with the authority. For payment of the said amount, W.P.No.8493 of 2023 was filed and this Court has disposed of the said Writ Petition, vide order dated 04.11.2025, directing the respondents to pay the amount due to the petitioner within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of the copy of the order, failing which the petitioner is entitled to further interest on the said amount @ 6% per annum from the date of Writ Petition till the date of realisation. For non-compliance of the said order dated 04.11.2025, the present Contempt Case is filed. 2. Learned counsel Ms. M.Neelophur, representing for the learned counsel on record Smt. Sushma Yaganti, placed instructions dated 16.09.2026. As seen from the said instructions dated 16.09.2026, an 4 amount of Rs.67,50,564/- was paid to the petitioner and cleared the bills. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent authorities have not paid the interest, as directed by this Court, @ 6% per annum from the date of Writ Petition till the date of realisation. Therefore, urged this Court to direct the respondents to pay interest, as directed by this Court. 4. As the respondents have not deposited the amount within the time specified, the petitioner is at liberty to file separate application for the balance amount before appropriate forum under the Act 30 of 2013, as per the judgment of a Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.791 of 2022 dated 26.04.2022. 5. With the above observation, the Contempt Case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
