Sodial for the petitioner Pranab Roy who has filed this application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 with prayer for pre-arrest bail apprehending arrest in connection with Latasil PS Case No. 26/2026 under Sections 306/316 (4)/61(2) of the BNS. Page No.# 2/2 2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had sold 400 NCERT books for his wrongful gain and personal benefit. The petitioner has annexed Annexure-2, the G-Pay receipt of the books into the account of the informant’s proprietorship ‘Student Gallery’ firm. 3. Learned Addl.Public Prosecutor Mr.P.S. Lahkar is present for the State respondent and submits that there are incriminating materials against the petitioner in the Case Diary. 4. I have also scrutinized the Case Diary. 5. Indeed there are incriminating materials against the petitioner is the Case Diary. 6. I have considered the submission that the petitioner has appeared before the I.O. and his statements have been recorded. The petitioner has not violated any bail conditions. I have also considered the peculiar circumstances of the case. The merits of this case are not brought to the fore. The petitioner is a local resident and is not a flight risk. 7. Considering all aspects, the interim order dated 22.06.2026 is made absolute. 8. In terms of the above observations, the anticipatory bail application is disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
