The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Katkamsandi P.S. Case No. 214 of 2023, registered for the offence under Sections 394 and 411 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Hazaribag. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and the allegation of snatching the chain is made against two of the apprehended co- accused and the name of the petitioner has come on the basis of confessional statement. 4. Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the prayer and submits that the petitioner happened to be the accomplish of two of the apprehended co-accused, who were arrested while they were snatching the chain from the passerby. 5. In view of the above, it transpires that the petitioner is the accomplish of two of the apprehended co-accused, who were arrested while they were snatching the chain from the passerby, which prima facie suggests that the petitioner is also the accomplish of the said gang [ 2026:JHHC:7723] -2- of chain snatchers. 6. In the attending facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, named above. As such, his prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
