Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced the receipt dated 8.5.2026, issued by Member Secretary, H.P. Legal Services Authority, Kasumpti, Shimla, regarding the deposit of 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Yes. 2 ₹9,000/- being the 7.5% of the cheque amount of ₹1,20,000/-, which is taken on record. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent/complainant, under instructions, submits that the matter has been reconciled between the parties and he has instructions not to press the complaint. 4. In view of this statement, the present revision is allowed and the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 20.11.2024, passed by learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No.1, Shimla, H.P. in Case No. 1062 of 2022, titled Mohan Singh Vs. Shanti as afÏrmed by learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Shimla, District Shimla, HP in Criminal Appeal No. 177 of 2025, dated 23.4.2026, titled Shanti Vs. Mohan Singh are ordered to be set aside and the complaint is dismissed as not pressed. 5. It has been submitted that no amount has been deposited before the learned Trial Court or this Court. In view of this, no other order is required to be passed for the disbursal of the amount by this Court. 3 6. The petitioner is stated to be in judicial custody and he is presently lodged in Model Central Jail, Kanda, District Shimla, HP. He is ordered to be released forthwith, if not required in any other case. Release warrants be prepared accordingly and the same be sent to the Superintendent, Model Central Jail, Kanda, District Shimla, HP, through FASTER forthwith for necessary compliance. 7. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
