By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- (i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents no. 1 to 5 to conduct a high level enquiry with regard to the changing of name of the respondent no. 6 in place of "Harjinder Singh" as "Harjinder Singh urf Joginder Singh" and the name of the respondent no. 7 in place of "Lakhvinder Singh" as "Lakhvinder Singh urf Lakkha Singh", as manipulated in Parivar Register of Gram Panchayat Dheemarkheda, Vikas Khand- Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar (Annexure no. 3, page 25:3 to the writ petition). (ii) II-To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the of pariwar register, issued by the respondent no. 5, (Annexure No. 3, Page 25 to 30). 4. From the pleadings made in the writ petition, it is revealed that there is a civil litigation going on between petitioner UKHC010141722026 2026:UHC:7399 and the persons, named in prayer no. 1, and petitioner wants to settle the score with them by having a High Level Enquiry instituted against them which will also give petitioner an edge in the ongoing litigation. 5. This Court is not inclined to grant the relief as prayed by the petitioner. The writ petition is, however, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach the Competent Authority.
