Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioners have, inter alia, prayed for the following reliefs:- “i) That the writ in the nature of Mandamus may be issued to release the arrears of salary to the petitioners on account of revision of pay w.e.f. 01-01-2016 to 31-07- 2020, i.e. the date of retirement of late Shri Mani Ram Inspector. ii) That the Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:16104 appropriate writ order or directions may kindly be issued directing the Respondents to release the entire arrears of retiral benefits i.e. Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity, Commuted Value of Pension, arrear of pension etc. to the Petitioners on account of being legal heirs of late Shri Mani Ram (Annexure P-2) which have accrued in his favour on account of Himachal Pradesh Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2022 as well as Office Memorandum dated 25.02.2022 along with 6% p.a. (iii) To issue direction to the respondents to revise the family pension being paid to the petitioner No. 1 after said demise of late Shri Mani Ram keeping in view the pay revision w.e.f. 01-01-2016 in the interest of justice and fair play.” 2. Learned Counsel for the petitioners informs the Court that similar matters are pending adjudication before the Hon’ble Division Bench by way of CWP No. 8504 of 2025, titled as Madhu Deshta and others vs. State of Himachal Pradesh and others and connected matters and the same are listed before Hon’ble Division Bench on 18.05.2026. 3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the adjudication by Hon’ble Division Bench in 3 2026:HHC:16104 above matter shall be binding upon the petitioners herein and the parties shall abide by the final outcome thereof.
