IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK ABLAPL No.985 of 2026 Sunil Ranjan Bhol & others …. Petitioners Mr. Ashok Das, Advocate -Versus- State of Odisha …. Opposite Party Mr. S. K. Lenka, ASC CORAM: MR. JUSTICE R.K. PATTANAIK Order No. ORDER 13.02.2026 01. 1. Heard learned counsel for the respective parties. 2. Instant petition under Section 482 BNSS is filed for pre-arrest bail of the petitioners in connection with Mahila P.S. Bhubaneswar Case No.371 of 2025 corresponding to C.T. Case No.2411 of 2025 pending in the file of learned S.D.J.M., Bhubaneswar on the grounds stated therein. 3. Upon perusal of the F.I.R. at Annexure-1, it is made to understand that there has been allegation of dowry demand and torture meted out to the informant. Among the petitioners, it is claimed by Mr. Das, learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioner No.1 is an outsider, whereas, petitioner No.4 is the husband of the informant and others are her in-laws. As two other in-laws have been granted bail vide ABLAPL No.970 of 2026 and the allegation appears to be omnibus, on a reading of the F.I.R. i.e. Annexure-1 and recording the submission of Mr. Das, learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioner No.4 is an employee in a private company, this Court is inclined to direct all the petitioners to surrender before the learned court below to go on bail on similar terms and conditions instead of granting pre-arrest bail to any of them. 4. Accordingly, it is ordered. 5. In the result, ABLAPL stands disposed of with the direction as aforesaid. It is further directed that upon surrender before the court of learned S.D.J.M., Bhubaneswar within a fortnight from today, the petitioners shall be released on bail in connection with Mahila P.S. Bhubaneswar Case No.371 of 2025 corresponding to C.T. Case No.2411 of 2025 subject to them furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand) each with one solvent surety for the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below, which shall be at liberty to impose such other suitable conditions as deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case besides the following, such as, they shall co-operate in the investigation and to report the I.O. as and when summoned. 6. Issue urgent certified copy as per rules. (R.K. Pattanaik) Judge Sumitra
