JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, petitioner seeks for the following reliefs:- “1. Quash the letter dated 16.09.2025 issued by the Second Respondent [vide Annexure ‘J’] 2. Issue a Writ Order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the Second Respondent to consider the application of the Petitioner dated 19.05.2025 [vide Annexure B] in the light of the notification dated 10.09.2024 bearing No.SI.Ausuec CASUE 166 SEYNANI 2024 issued by the Fourth Respondent. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:15088 WP No. 38787 of 2025 3. Issue such other writ or order or direction as may be deemed fir in the circumstances of the case.” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for respondent Nos.1, 3, 4, and 5 and learned counsel for respondent No.2 and perused the material on record. 3. When the matter came up before this Court on 30.12.2025, this Court passed the following interim order; “Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed an application to the post of General Manager and Chief Accounts Officer. The petitioner requested for age relaxation on parity with the relaxation granted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission . It is submitted that the relaxations provided to the candidates taking up examination conducted by KPSC is not extended to the petitioner, the same would result in discrimination. Learned counsel further submits that the examination is scheduled to be conducted on 04.01.2026. The matter requires consideration. If the petitioner is not permitted to participate in the written examination to be conducted by the respondents, the right of the petitioner would seriously affect and his right to participate in the examination could be deprived. The respondents are directed to permit the petitioner to take up the examination for the post of General Manager. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:15088 WP No. 38787 of 2025 Respondent No.2 shall ensure issuance of admission ticket and the participation of the petitioner in the scheduled examination for the post of General Manager. Hand delivery of this order is permitted. It is made clear that the result of the examination is subject to outcome of the result of this writ petition.” 4. In pursuance of the said interim order, the petitioner has taken up the examination for the post of the General Manager and the results are yet to be announced as on today. Under these circumstances, nothing further survives for consideration in the present petition except directing respondent No.2 to consider the examination taken up by the petitioner and proceed further in relation to the recruitment process and complete the same, in accordance with law. 5.
