This contempt petition is filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. Petitioner alleges willful and deliberate contempt of this Court’s order dated 07.10.2025, passed in WPSS No. 3661 of 2017, Virendra Singh & another vs. State of Uttarakhand & others, whereby respondents-contemnors were directed to reconsider the case of the petitioner for regularization as per the Regularization Rules, 2013, in the light of the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Apex Court in the case of Dharam Singh & others vs. State of U.P. & another, reported in 2025 SCC Online SC 1735, within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 4. Response was called from the respondents- contemnors. 5. A response/compliance affidavit has been filed, UKHC010085662026 2026:UHC:6835 and in the said affidavit, a copy of the order dated 25.06.2026 has been annexed by the respondents- contemnors as annexure-2 to the writ petition, whereby the case of the petitioner was considered and rejected by the respondents-contemnors. 6. Learned counsel for the respondents- contemnors/State submits that the order has been complied with, though the compliance has not been made within time. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents-contemnors were directed to decide and consider the case of the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of the order dated 07.10.2025, but the compliance has not been made by the respondents-contemnors within that period. Thus, according to him, contempt is made out. 8. Be that as it may, the compliance has been made, though later, after filing a contempt petition, therefore, this Court is not inclined to proceed any further in the matter, as the compliance has been made. Accordingly, contempt petition is hereby closed.
