In this writ petition, petitioners are challenging the Communication dated 12th December, 2025 (Annexures 'A' and 'A1'); inter alia sought for direction to the respondent No.2- University to issue eligibility certificate to thee petitioners on the basis of their B.A. Degree to continue three years LL.B

Course at the respondent No.3-College for the Academic year 2025-26.
2. Heard Sri. Anoop Haranahalli, learned counsel appearing for petitioners; Smt. Sukanya Baliga B., learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondent No.1; and Sri. Girish Kumar, learned counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 4.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the writ papers, the same would indicate that the respondent No.3-College issued a Communication dated 12th December, 2025 (Annexures 'A' and 'A1'), wherein it is informed that the enrollment of petitioners for three years LL.B Course for the Academic year 2025-26 has been cancelled since, the respondent No.2-University had rejected the applications of the petitioners for admission on the ground that the petitioners have not studied PUC/12th Standard.
4. On perusal of the writ petition, it is forthcoming that the petitioners have completed Job Oriented/ITI Course and Bachelor Degree in Arts. Therefore, following the law declared

by this Court in the case of RAKESH SHETTY vs. THE STATE OF KARNATAKA AND OTHERS made in Writ Petition No.31737 of 2024 decided on 09th December, 2024, I am of the view that the relief sought for by the petitioner in this petition has to be accepted. Accordingly, I pass the following:
O R D E R (i) Writ Petition allowed; (ii) Communication dated 12th December, 2025 (Annexures 'A' and 'A1') issued by the respondent No.3-College in respect of the petitioners is hereby quashed; (iii) The respondent No.2-University is directed to issue eligibility certificate and accord admission to the petitioners in the respondent No.3- College to pursue three years LL.B Course for the Academic year 2025-26.
