Petitioners applied for renewal of Certificate of Practice as Notary under the Notaries Act, 1952. Their request has been turned down only on the ground that petitioners have practised as Notary for more than 10 years and there is no indefeasible right of renewal available to the petitioners. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that identical issue was decided by this Court in Writ Petition (MS) No. 7 of 2025, therefore, these writ UKHC010020112026 2026:UHC:6882 petitions also deserve to be decided in terms of that judgment. 4. The writ petitions are, accordingly, decided in terms of judgment dated 08.10.2025, rendered in WPMS No. 7 of 2025. The impugned order(s) issued by Principal Secretary (Law)/Legal Remembrancer, Govt. of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, whereby application made by petitioners for renewal of their Certificate of Practice was rejected, are hereby quashed. The competent authority is directed to reconsider the applications for renewal made by petitioners, as per law, within six weeks from date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
