The present writ petitions have been filed aggrieved of the verbal termination of the petitioners from the work as assigned to them as a 'Sathin' of the respective Gram Panchayat. It has been submitted that as the Gram Panchayat in question has now been merged with some Municipality because of the delimitation process, the Gram Panchayat remains no more in existence and hence, the services of the petitioners have been terminated. Learned counsel for the petitioners makes a limited submission that if the concerned Municipality/Municipal Corporation undertakes any process for recruitment qua any work of similar nature, the present petitioners be given a priority and advantage of the work experience they have gained as 'Sathin'. 3. Keeping into consideration the limited submission made and the fact that the petitioners have put in a service of more than 5 to 15 years, the present writ petitions are disposed of with an observation that if in future the concerned Municipality/Municipal Corporation undertakes any fresh recruitment process for any post which requires the similar nature of work as performed by the petitioners, they shall be given priority and some advantage of the work experience as gained by them. 4.
