By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 28/2025, registered at Police Station Jaffarpur Kalan, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 117/126/351/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter ‘BNSS’) and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties. All the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 & 3 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Jaffarpur Kalan, Delhi. 6. Brief facts of the case are that the present FIR was registered on the complaint of Smt. Sumesh regarding an incident dated 24.02.2025, wherein the petitioners and their associates allegedly assaulted the complainant and her family members outside her residence at New Roshanpura, Najafgarh, New Delhi. It is further alleged that while the complainant and other injured persons were proceeding to Jaffarpur Hospital for medical examination, the petitioners had wrongfully restrained their vehicle, assaulted them with lathis and iron rods, and the petitioner no. 3/Ravinder allegedly pointed a pistol towards them with an intention to kill. The victims thereafter escaped from the spot and informed the police. The injured persons were medically examined at Jaffarpur Hospital and subsequently treated at DDU Hospital and Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital, where MLC No. 659/2025 was prepared. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 13.06.2025. 7. On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 3 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would This is a digitally signed order.
