2026:JHHC:13039 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 3678 of 2026 Md. Salam @ Md. Salam Ansari, son of Md. Ayub Ansari … … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … … Opp. Party --- CORAM: HON’BLE MRS. JUSTICE ANUBHA RAWAT CHOUDHARY --- For the Petitioner : Mr. Sushant Kumar Sinha, Advocate For the Opp. Party : Mr. Sanat Kumar Jha, Advocate --- 03/4th May 2026 1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 14.01.2026 in connection with Chatra Sadar P.S. Case No. 34/2026 for the offence registered under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 109, 352 of BNS, now said to have been pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case, rather the petitioner did not throw his wife from the roof. In fact, the petitioner had pushed her, due to which she had fallen and the injuries do not appear to have been caused by a fall from the rooftop. 3. Learned counsel for the opposite party has opposed the prayer and has submitted that there is direct allegation against the petitioner. He further submits that the petitioner is the husband of the victim, and the informant, who is the brother-in-law of the victim, is also an eye-witness to the occurrence. 4. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that there is direct allegation against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, this bail application is rejected. 5. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the court concerned through ‘e-mail/FAX’. (Anubha Rawat Choudhary, J.) Dated: 04.05.2026 Uploaded On: Mukul/-
