Also heard learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the informant. The case has been charge sheeted and the matter is presently pending as Special (POCSO) Case No. 62/2025 under Sections 87 and 65(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, 2023, read with Section 4 of the POCSO Act, before the Court of the Special Judge (POCSO), Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to face the trial and seeks interim protection until his appearance before the learned trial court. Having regard to the fact that the investigation is already complete and the case is now pending trial, it is provided that the petitioner shall appear before the learned trial court within a period of 15 days from today. Upon such appearance in the event of application being filed by him, the same shall be considered as per law.
