By way of the present application, the applicant seeks grant of interim bail for a period of three weeks, on the ground of illness of his mother, in case arising out of FIR bearing No. 248/2025, registered at Police Station Palam Village, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 4. On instructions from the Investigating Officer (I.O.), the learned APP for the State informs this Court that the surgery of mother of the applicant has been scheduled for 04.04.2026 and the factum of surgery has been This is a digitally signed order. The learned APP for the State does not dispute the aforesaid factual position. 7. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant and the learned APP for the State, since the factum of the surgery of mother of the applicant is verified and keeping in mind the period of custody undergone by the present applicant, this Court is inclined to grant interim bail to the applicant for a period of two weeks from date, subject to following conditions: I. The applicant shall furnish a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. II. The applicant shall surrender his passport, and will not leave the country during this period. III. The applicant shall also provide his mobile number to the Jail Superintendent, as well as I.O./S.H.O. concerned, which shall be kept operational at all times. IV. The applicant shall immediately surrender after the expiry of the period of interim bail before the concerned jail authorities, and shall not seek any further extension of the interim bail. V. The applicant shall not approach any of the prosecution witnesses and shall not indulge in any criminal activity during the period of interim bail. 8.
