GP FOR SERVICES IV The Court made the following: 2 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY WRIT PETITION NO: 25633 OF 2026 ORDER:- The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondent No.3 in not considering the case of the Petitioner for promotion to the post of Superintendent as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner was initially appointed as Junior Assistant in the year 2001 and thereafter, he was promoted as Senior Assistant in the year 2017 in Respondent No.3-Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. Though the Petitioner had completed Nine years of service as Senior Assistant and passed all the Departmental Tests, his case is not being considered for promotion though the individuals appointed as Senior Assistant subsequent to the Petitioner were being promoted to the post of Superintendent. Pursuant thereto, the Petitioner submitted a Representation on 11.08.2026 to that effect. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the representation of the Petitioner will be examined and appropriate decision will be communicated to the Petitioner. 4. Heard the learned counsels. 3. Considering the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:- (i) The Respondent No.3 is directed to examine the case of the Petitioner for promotion to the post of Superintendent as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. .
