For Petitioner(s): Mr.M.Vijaya Ragavan For Respondent(s): Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja Govt.Advocate For R1 to R4 ND/W- R5 to R7 -Pvt ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to cancel the pattas issued in the name of the respondents 5 to 7 for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner’s representation dated 16.12.2024 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner claims that the respondents 5 to 7 have illegally obtained pattas for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this writ petition to substantiate his case that the pattas have been issued illegally in favour of the respondents 5 to 7. The petitioner had given a representation on 16.12.2024 to the second respondent seeking for cancellation of pattas standing in the name of the respondents 5 to 7. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 12560 of 2026 3. As seen from the documents filed along with this writ petition, proceedings have already been initiated by the second respondent on the petitioner’s representation dated 16.12.2024. But, no final orders have been passed till date. 4.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse order is passed against the respondents 5 to 7, notice to the respondents 5 to 7 is dispensed with. 5.No prejudice would be caused to the official respondents if the petitioner’s representation as stated supra is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the respondents 5 to 7 and any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 6.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation. 7.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 16.12.2024 seeking for cancellation of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 12560 of 2026 pattas standing in the name of the respondents 5 to 7 for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections of the respondents 5 to 7 and also any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner.
