By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: "i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to consider the representation dated 28.01.2026 & 12.05.2026 regarding mutation of the name of father of petitioner and legal heirs within in the Nagar Nigam record within some stipulated time." It appears from the records that the petitioner has already represented the matter to the respondent no. 3 vide representation dated 28.01.2026 which is still pending consideration. Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to look into and consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order strictly in accordance with law.
