No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPMS/2525/2026 Akshat Gupta --Petitioner Versus Mrs Pragati Gupta --Respondent Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Ms. Ishita Dhaila and Ms. Chandrika Vishwakarma, Advocates for the petitioner. 2. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs: “1. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS directing the learned Family Court to expedite the divorce proceedings instituted by the petitioner under Section 25(2)(i) of the Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand, which have been unduly delayed before the learned Family Court owing to repeated adjournments sought by the respondents without valid cause and entertained by the Court. 2.. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS directing the learned Family Court to treat service of summons as duly effected in view of the Respondent’s evasive conduct and contradictory stance regarding her own address and email particulars; and pass such other order as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the interest of justice.” 3. Since neither the particulars of divorce case nor the name of the Court is indicated in the relief clause, therefore this Court is not inclined to grant relief as prayed. 4. The writ petition is dismissed. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to file the petition afresh. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 21.08.2026 Mahinder UKHC010147212026 2026:UHC:7579
