1. This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:-
“A. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ or
order directing respondents to extend the timeline for transition of existing 4 years integrated B.A.B.Ed course to Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) before the start of academic session 2027-28 instead of academic session 2026-27; and/or B. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ or
order or direction to respondents to permit/allow the petitioner institute to admit/enroll students in existing & This is a digitally signed order. recognized 4 years integrated B.A.B.Ed course in academic session 2026-27 with consequential direction to inform the department of higher education, Government of Madhya Pradesh and affiliating University to allow admission of students in existing & recognized 4 years integrated B.A.B.Ed course in academic session 2026-27; and/or ALTERNATIVELY C. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ or
order directing respondents to process & decide petitioner's application dated 04.10.2025 for transition to ITEP course in time bound manner from academic session 2026-27; . . .”
2. Mr. Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, presses the prayer ‘C’.
3. For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice.
4. Mr. Kapoor, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that in case the petitioners’ application is not decided, the same shall be done.
5. For the said reasons, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondents to process and decide the petitioners’ application dated 04.10.2025 for transition to ITEP course within 10 days from today (if not already decided).
6. The prayers ‘A’ and ‘B’ are left open to be adjudicated in another case.
7. With these directions, the present petition is disposed of.
