… Petitioner(s) Mr. Aniket Mitra Sk. S. Ali
… for the Petitioner(s) Ms. Sonali Das Mr. Saptarshi Chakraborty
… for the State-respondent(s) Mr. Anindya Bose Ms. R. Das
… for the defacto – complainant(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 23.08.2024 and out of the 18 charge-sheeted witnesses, till date, only four witnesses have been examined. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary. Having regard to the period of detention, without entering into the merits of the case, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.
2 Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Sahina Parveen @ Sahia Parveen shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 2nd Court, Howrah. If on bail, the petitioner shall also make herself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the district of Howrah without prior intimation to the learned trial court. Accordingly, CRM (M) 591 of 2026 is allowed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
